Herbert Curtis is a native of Louisiana. He studied at the University of Maryland, in the field of Business Management. He also holds FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificates.
After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1986, as an aviation structural hydraulics technician, he began his civilian career in aviation with Rohr Industries, Chula Vista, CA.
Mr. Curtis has over 30 years in the aviation industry and with past experience at various companies such as Boeing, Hughes Space and Communications, Northrop Grumman, EADS and Aeroframe Services; Herbert brings to Aeroframe a broad in-depth of knowledge and experiences gathered from both working with a variety of aviation professionals in addition to his management ventures.
In 2000, Mr. Curtis was recruited to Lake Charles, LA to join EADS Aeroframe Services team as an A&P mechanic. During his career with EADS and, now Aeroframe Services, he has industriously worked his way up from an A&P Mechanic, Supervisor, Business Planner, Sr. Project Manager, Program Manager, Director of Planning to Director of Maintenance. He is currently responsible for all production staff supporting all maintenance activities at the Lake Charles facility.
Herbert is the proud father to Kayonna, Kaasey and Herbert III. He enjoys riding his motorcycle and spending quality time with family.
